Anxiety Self Help

If you stumbled upon this site you might be looking for some form of anxiety self help. As people have said for a very long time, admitting you need help is the first step to recovery. I’m not promoting any twelve step programs, even though these programs have helped millions of people with their specific addictions. I’m promoting and advocating the pursuit of mental and physical health without the use of drugs.

The pharmaceutical industry makes billions of dollars every year selling prescription drugs to people suffering from anxiety, panic, depression, and personality disorders. As someone who suffered from Acute Panic Disorder, I can tell you this-you probably do not need drugs to get through your anxiety and stress. You need to understand where it’s coming from and taking healthy steps to alleviate it. You won’t be cured over night, but if you exercise, meditate, eat healthy, and seek counseling (if necessary), you will live a great life.

Anxiety Self Help Guidelines

Fist of all, there are no guidelines when it comes to anxiety self help. The one thing I suggest is to look at what you are doing and ask yourself, “Is this making me a happier, healthier, more in control human being?” When you use prescription drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and other substances, you are effectively giving the power to something else. The idea is to seize power over you own life.

When you have some time, look up some different relaxation techniques and seek out stress relief information. As I have mentioned several times, tons of information is at your fingertips. The power to change and feel good is in you, not outside of you. Look at those techniques that focus inward rather than the external world.
